Seth T. Sunderland is an investor, entrepreneur, and former investment banker. Currently, Seth is the chief executive officer of Spring Canyon Capital, a privately-owned real estate investment and asset management company focused on Utah and the Intermountain West. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor of finance at the University of Utah.

Seth previously worked for UBS Investment Bank from 2004 until 2018 where he executed merger and acquisition transactions with a cumulative value of over $35 billion. From 2011 to 2018 he was based in Asia and served as head of Southeast Asia mergers and acquisitions for UBS where he led merger and acquisition efforts in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Leslie Carpenter brings experience in media, policy, and political campaigning to her professional endeavors. Her career has encompassed various aspects of the political landscape, including campaign management, fundraising, and community engagement. In her work, Leslie has focused on connecting with community leaders to garner support for political candidates. She has also taken on community leadership roles herself, serving as Board President of Logan's Children's Justice Center.

As part of her involvement with the Utah State Republican Party, Leslie has contributed to organizing significant events such as the annual Legislative Breakfast and the State Convention breakfast. Her role in political event management has continued to expand, with Leslie running the 3rd Congressional District and U.S. Senate primary debates in 2024. Additionally, in the summer of 2023, she assisted with the coordination of special election debates to select a new Congressional House Representative following Representative Chris Stewart's departure.

Leslie's professional experience extends to contract lobbying, where she has worked with a diverse clientele including municipalities, counties, non-profit organizations, and private sector businesses.


The Utah Elephant Club leadership is appointed by the Utah Republican Party Chair around the date of the nominating convention.
